1. What Information Are Your Customers Looking For?
Each day our team talks directly with plastics buyers (Molders, OEMs and Design Engineers) that use Prospector to locate plastic material data sheets. Increasingly they ask us about two issues forefront in their minds:
RoHS
We've started to include RoHS information on the datasheets in Prospector, so if you have information on if your materials are RoHS compliant, contact Nate Hoyt and we'll make sure your information is available to the plastics professionals that subscribe to Prospector.
Resin Pricing
Resin Pricing has been a hot topic due to price increases and the future outlook on oil shortage. Resin Buyers are aware of the problems and our top subscription to Prospector is for the Alternative Resins Search.
Customers use this tool to quickly find possible offsets to plastic grades they are currently using. It's also helpful for them to find replacement plastics for those that are discontinued.
Of note, Alternative Resins Search is a great tool for your Customer Service and Sales team. With it, they can quickly find the materials you supply that are offsets to products your customers are using. It can also be used for competitive analysis to see how your materials compare to other suppliers' grades.

3. Plastics Data Updates Report
Are Your Materials Up-to-Date with IDES?
Every 2 weeks, we publish new plastic materials information and data sheets in Prospector referenced by more than 41,000 users. It's important for your business success that IDES has your most up to date plastic materials information so that your customers are informed when making buying decisions.
