Prospector provides free access to over 50,000 plastics datasheets for resin buyers. LARAMIE, Wyo. January 27, 2004 - IDES, the technology and market leader in plastics data management services, today announced the release of a free plastics datasheets service for resin buyers called Prospector. X5 allows users to quickly locate over 50,000 detailed material datasheets from one convenient location. Data is provided to IDES directly from 400 global resin suppliers. "We designed Prospector specifically for plastics processors," said Mike Kmetz, President of IDES. "In three mouse-clicks, users can view full datasheets with extensive processing information and efficiently connect with resin suppliers through our unique Sourcing service to obtain resin pricing and availability." Prospector is a web-based application where users can search for materials by Product Name, Manufacturer/Supplier, Material Family and Applications. Data updates are posted every two weeks and the tool includes a Molding Troubleshooter and Glossary of Plastics.
