Trouser Tear Resistance - ISO 6383-1
The average force required to propagate a tear at a constant tearing speed across a specimen divided by the specimen thickness. Used for films and sheeting with a thickness less than 1 mm.
Trouser Tear SpecimenTest specimens are placed in a tensile test machine. The jaws are set to separate at a rate of either 200 or 250 mm/min.
